Sázavafest has its 12th anniversary coming up soon and still provides its fans with the multicultural experience of seeing many local and foreign artists and performers.
We saw the first steps in 2001 – steps full of assurance and determination – and with already twelve years having passed since the festival was first formed, they have since made huge progress seeing attendances growing year by year. Nowadays the festival hosts more than 21,000 fans.
The organizers of this festival are not afraid try to new things and that’s why they have run a competition called “Sázavafest Battle”. This is where new and talented bands and singers from the Czech Republic can perform in front of festival fans, and many successful Czech bands and artists already have formed from this competition.
Finally, as a brand new project for the Sázavafest 2012 at Zelený ostrov in Benešov near the Prague, the organizers have announced the new Promo pro Dance Hall for 5,000 people who will be entertaining the visitors of Sázavafest with the sounds of both local and international DJs.

Molotov is a Mexican band whose musical style is usually classified as Latino rock, while fans might also enjoy their playful frisky and slightly aggressive Spanish lyrics.
Molotov is a rock Latino band formed in Mexico, 1995. Admirers of Spanish music will appreciate Molotov, especially due to their prevailingly Spanish lyrics that are often reflecting upon politics, such as the immigration policy in the United States. All of their lyrics are frisky, funny but slightly aggressive. Their sound emphasizes the strength of the bass and electric guitar.
Molotov went on a tour around Europe and America last year and have been awarded with multiple music awards during their career such as their nomination for a Grammy for “The best Latin interpretation/alternative rock”; MTV Award for the best Rock group; and others.
Molotov band is also the official author of several computer game songs (for example they composed a song with a title “No Manches Mi Vida” for an action PC game “Total Overdose” which is a narrated story about twins searching for their father’s murderer. Molotov composed songs also for the shooter game “Crackdown” and to the action and adventure game “Chili con Carnage”. And also a part of their song appeared in the movie “Amores Perros” from 2000.
Molotov is one of the confirmed foreign stars that will play their music to the fans in summer festival Sázavafest at Benešov near the Prague.
