11th Annual Sázavafest 2011 in Benešov near Prague
Performing at this year’s Sázavafest are Hurts, Alphaville, The Subways, Nouvelle Vague, Jazzanova, Belleruche, Kosheen, Irie Révoltés, MAD HEADS XL, Slovakia’s Jana Kirschner and many domestic bands worth a listen. Look at the complete line-up at: http://www.sazavafest.cz/letni/program/line-up.
Aside from concert sets, you can also look forward to the accompanying programme. There will also be the dance and relaxation studio Tanytany or Urbano zumba latino – zumba lessons with the best Czech instructors accompanied by DJ Kapucino. Of course there will also be a festival village offerring a variety of stands with various refreshments, as well as books, CDs, T-shirts, beads, jewellery, piercings, tattoos, henna, sport and workshops. Visitors will aso be able to go swimming in the near-by stylish outdoor Sladovka swimming pool from the 1930s. Live concerts will also take place here during the festival. Entry to the pool is free.
A new feature of this year’s Sázavafest is the Minimax Kids’ Area, where parents will be able to leave their kids for a time and go listen to their favourite band undisturbed. In this marked-off area, children over 3 years of age will be taken care of by pedagogically trained staff, who have ready an extensive programme for them. The tent city is located inside the festival grounds and is equipped with basic washroom facilities. The cost will be CZK 200 per person. The whole grounds are equipped with their own drinking water system, and wash-up stations and showers with hot water will be free of charge in the tent city. You can reserve a spot by buying a ticket any time after 1 June from Ticketpro or Eventim. You cannot bring your own food and drink into the tent city, but there will be a shop selling basic groceries and toiletries at prices comparable to those outside Sázavafest. What should you remember to bring? Every visitor should make sure to bring their health card, ID card, enough money (you can only pay in cash in Czech currency at the festival), sunglasses, a swimsuit, raincoat, toilet paper, tent and sleeping bag.
We do not recommend bringing valuables and jewellery. Please also leave your pets at home. It is prohibited to bring your own food and drink onto the grounds. There will enough stands with refreshments on the site, as well as a shop with normal groceries at standard prices in the tent city. The whole grounds are equipped with their own drinking water supply.
