His style is very unusual as he’s a one-man band! Sparky uses electric and acoustic guitars with some effects, but does not use a PC or a rhythm box. Amazingly, all his sounds come only from his guitars. You’ll be surprised! Check him out:

The hot African musical giant is heading straight to the Europe.

One is intrigued listening to this wild group with vindictive and melancholic undertones. This « multiracial » group proposes a nu-rumba concept based on afro-groove fusion, where afro-rhythms meet hip-hop, funk, soul, and jazz. The group’s songs are powerful and aware. Bantunani’s music is both a consciousness raising and a dancing music.

Under the driving force of Michel Nzau, the group is a perfect blend between traditional and modern rhythms where every member brings in his or her own musical culture. The group is in perpetual re-evaluation of its artistic approach vis-a-vis its artistic and humanistic goals.

So since its creation in 2006 the life of the groups has been rich and eventful, witnessing an evolution in its constitution.
The rhythmic core, made of the drummer Johnny Millebaga or of Désiré (Dezzy Drums) and of the base player Niwa Koshi, is always maintained in its blending with other influences. Umberto Luambo is the co-founder and guitar player of the group. One recognizes the african style of his playing that can also call in hard rock elements or (« guitar cocotte style »!).

This is the nucleus of the group around which other artists gravitate, enriching the Bantunani experience. An experience that is renewed with each album. But we must not forget the surprising, sensual and languorous chorus that adds itself to this electro-acoustic combination, and most of all the mesmerizing energy of the lead singer, Michel Nzau who transforms dance and music into instruments at the service of the verb.

The twenty year old musician Lisa reforms her music project “The Lisa Mason Project” in 2011 – and she is already about making up her first album which will be published in January 2013. Preliminarily she launches her first EP titled “Because I want to love” in August 2012 to appease the constantly increasing request of sound storage media after her budding shows (Tap-Water Records, distributed by Kontor New Media).
Lisa is already providing German television transmitter / companies like VOX and Kabel1 with her first instrumental songs produced affectionately with a varied stylistic range / spectrum. Besides, she participated as guest-singer in the Christmas hit song “Frohes Fest” (December 2011) of the Bavarian Reggae-Institution “BÜRGERMEISTA”.

The young musician of great talent plays different instruments favouring the piano and the guitar, gains her first experience in a cover-band and she achieves/reaches the German finale at (the show) “Jugend musiziert” in the branch “Musical”.
Lisa’s songs and (her) voice are honest, pure emotions differing from sad to happy and from cheerful to out of the blue extremely serious and thoughtful again. Everything is offered: It’s the start of a musical journey through different music genres like singer/songwriter-sound, electro-pop and indie (rock). Chris Anderson

At a very early age, Chris Anderson was intrigued by the idea of performing on stage in front of a captive audience. He knew that he wanted to perform, but he didn’t know where he would find his niche in the entertainment field. Although born into a musical family, Chris was not interested in singing publicly or learning to play a musical instrument. Like most people, he sang very well with the radio. At age 18, however, Chris became very interested in actually pursuing a career in music. After he graduated from high school Chris began singing publicly with a variety of backing tracks that ranged from Stevie Wonder to Elton John to R. Kelly. Also around this same time, Chris Grandfather Norm introduced him to a genre of music he had never heard before jazz standards. Chris was not immediately captivated, but did like spending quality time with his grandpa, and since listening to this music was a favourite hobby of his grandpas…over time Chris started to enjoy these jazz standards just as much as his grandpa did.

He loved the meaningful lyrics and how that big band sound was the perfect accompaniment for any song. Chris started emulating some of his grandpa’s favourite singers–Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole. When Chris grandpa heard him singing the standards he immediately called Chris uncle Jeff and had Jeff listen to Chris sing over the phone. Jeff, a fine clarinet player in a 3-piece local jazz standards group The Blue Notes, took enough interest in Chris singing ability that he invited Chris to be the lead singer of the group. While performing and working on his craft in retirement homes, Chris learned many songs and had the time of his life singing the songs to the people who loved them the most.

Chris, now 21, has come a long way since that magical night in January. He has expanded his repertoire and worked hard at making sure his audience enjoys the songs he performs. In Chris own words :

“I feel very fortunate to have had the many opportunities occur in my life these last couple of years. It’s amazing to think that I’m being given the chance to fulfil a dream”.

Yes, nowadays music can be raw and uncut. Yes, even today a band
can galvanize you and tear you out of the indifferent elevator music
world. “Death by Chocolate” proved it – with their debut EP “My
Portable Love” and with about 140 gigs. Besides playing some
important Swiss open-air they could also be the opening act for Bon
Jovi and fire 40’000 people up. They could also already gather some

Why chose between jazz’s musicality, hip-hop’s rythms and the energy of electronic music ? Lyre le Temps decided not to choose.
By mixing 3 musicians like Ry’m, Seconde and DJ Q, we get a new kind of music, which combine the most influent musical trends of the 20th century.
Lyre le Temps, it’s this unexpected match of 3 identities, meeting in a jump-jazz of modern times, pushing the boundaries of originality and creativity of actual music.

For 3 years, Lyre le Temps tours in France with a growing success. The project takes an important turn in april 2009, when Lyre le Temps is designed “Révelation du Printemps de Bourges”, one of the biggest french music festival. Since then, the artists work with sound and light engineers to create an original and dynamic show.
In the spring 2010, Lyre le Temps releases its first album, “LADY SWING” in France and Japan, working closely with Wagram and its electro-swing compilations.
In 2011, after 200 shows in France, in Portugal and la Réunion, Amorphe, first hip-hop DJ leaves the group, and the arrival of DJ Q brings a new refreshment to Lyre le Temps’ music and scenic performances.
After more than 60 concerts this year, the band wants to leaves its mark in minds, to prepare the expectation for their second album, in 2012.

KLOQ

Kloq are forged out of three key elements. The love of electronic, and alternative music, growing up in and around Essex and its boundless music community and the determination to create something new and expressive for the masses.

Founder member Oz Morsley started out with the band Empirion. He created Kloq as a studio project, using influences from EBM, rock, Electro and much more. With the release of the much acclaimed first album “Move Forward” came a time of immense touring across the world. The album featured several notable collaborations from Douglas McCarthy – Nitzer ebb, Paolo Morena – The Morenas and Lucia Carnel from Sunscreem. At the time, only Oz and touring front man Greg Cumbers made up the band. The pair embarked on a mammoth promotional campaign that took them from Japan to Poland, the UK, Germany and beyond. As the sound evolved, so did Oz Mosley’s idea of the band. From the early days as a duo, it was time to expand the sound and this was achieved with the addition of Tim Jackson on bass guitar. Tim was an old friend of Oz’s and had just recently split from a band Oz had produced several years earlier. A further year of promotional touring was undertaken alongside other notable bands and friends Nitzer Ebb, VNV nation and Mesh.

Kloq swiftly carved out a steady fan base for themselves and their music. During this time Kloq had used Mark Jackson of VNV Nation on drums. This had opened up yet another soundscape live, so the band looked around for a more permanent drummer for the position. Along came Steve Wilson. Large in both stature and sound. He had also worked with both Oz and Tim and this was to become a great pairing. Once again, the band embarked on more gigs and tours across the globe with many big festival shows around Europe.

After the departure of original vocalist Greg, Kloq took time out to find a permanent vocalist that would also be a strong writing force within the band. Another long time friend of the band “Tom Freeman” came to mind. He had worked with Tim and Steve as Bass and Drum tech in the past. Tom added the commercial edge Kloq had longed for and soon settled in to the band with his unique vocal and writing style, perfectly in tune with Kloq’s rhythms and melodies.
